Patriotic Inspired Style

The most American holiday is right around the corner, the 4th of July! It brings forth fireworks, yard games and Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. Most importantly it is a time to celebrate our nation’s independence. America is truly the greatest country. In America, I have a plethora of freedoms, including my favorite… dressing in style however I want! Although it may not be an amendment it is a freedom I am thankful to have.

How to Dress for the 4th of July

Sometimes people go overboard dressing for the 4th of July to the point it is cheesy! Here are a few 4th of July outfit ideas that are patriotic INSPIRED, emphasis on inspired, but still classic, mature, and of course stylish.

Military Blue and Stripes

This outfit is perfect for formal 4th of July celebrations.IMG_1506

The navy blue gives a nod to the U.S. Navy, while the other shades of blue represent the Marines and American Flag. The resort stripe skirt from J.Crew Factory is a staple American pattern.

Wearing jewelry adds class and elegance. My necklace matches my skirt perfectly, which ties the whole outfit together. Of course, I love my classic Tiffany Venetian Link bracelet.

This outfit is patriotic with all the shades of blue and striped skirt to give a subtle nod to the American flag.

All American in Red, White, and Blue

If you have your heart set on representing the American flag, just do it with the colors. Wearing all three colors with stars and stripes is just too much!

Just taking a moment to reflect on America’s great and rich history.

These Ivanka Trump heels are very versatile and in denim, making them even more American! I have gotten so much use out of them. Plus, can you wear a more American designer shoe than one from the President’s daughter!?

I chose to tie my long red cardigan, so my waste isn’t lost. The upper part of my body needs structure to balance out the flow from the midi skirt. Again, white t-shirts are incredibly useful and versatile like I show here.

Excuse the awkward face, but I had to show the best part of this outfit which is the pockets!

Casual, Cool, and Comfortable

This outfit is great for 4th of July cookouts involving yard games and watching fireworks.

The bright red cardigan and tank work well together with the high waisted denim shorts, representing red and blue perfectly.

Are you even American if you don’t have a picture with the flag?

This tank and cardigan combo are great because when you’re playing games you need less to move freely, but when the sun goes down you will need the cardigan to guard your arms from mosquitos and chills.

Navy Sailor

This outfit is inspired by the Navy from the colors to the sailor striped shorts with decorative anchor buttons.

When 4th of July celebrations heat up, I can shed my J.Crew white cardigan , then….

tie it around my shoulders like a true preppy, American.

This outfit is a little dressier than the previous incase your cookout or outdoor gatherings are more formal, but it is still functional. Yes, the red lipstick is intentional. I swear by Maybelline SuperStay 24 hour Lipstick. It literally lasts all day through eating apples, drinking coffee, and it doesn’t rub off on anything!

American by Design

The designs of this outfit are classic, American silhouettes from my jeans to striped tote!

I wear my favorite pant, the “Skimmer” from White House|Black Market, which I talk about in depth here.

There’s undoubtedly going to be a lot of wind blown hair during your 4th of July celebrations. I don’t mind because the wind shows off the super edgy, cool neckline and design of my Armani Exchange top.

I am going out with a bang carrying American designer Kate Spade New York‘s tote in classic blue and white stripes. Read more about my love for the designer bows here.

B.E. Styled Patriotically

I hope my patriotic inspired outfits help you discover what you will wear for the 4th of July. I’d love to see what you wear, and be sure to comment which patriotic outfit idea you like best!

Bon Voyage! I will be in Paris, representing America in style on the 4th of July. Where will you be?
