Achieve Style, Spend Little
You ask, I deliver! EVERYONE asks where they can get the newest trends without spending much money. Isn’t that the million dollar question!? Well, I have the answer! It’s SHEIN. ” SHEIN prides itself on offering on-trend styles catering to both young women and teens, that won’t break the bank.”
SHEIN Outfit Report
In February, I wrote about SHEIN, in Affordable Fashion February and in my Affordable Spring Denim guide. Both blogs created a lot of interest, and readers were so curious about SHEIN, asking my opinion on the quality, style, etc. I wanted to genuinely answer your questions, so I ordered a complete, 5 piece outfit (pictured below).
I got this whole outfit including a top, pants, coat, shoes, and a purse for $69! That’s an average of only $13.80 per item! A similar outfit from J. Crew or Banana Republic would be $558 or an average of $116.50 per item.
This wrap coat is cute, flattering, and versatile. I tied it in front and back to achieve two different looks. The belt is removable, so it can be worn completely open and free-flowing. It’s a great coat for Spring because it’s lightweight, and blush is trending.
I really like how the collar drapes and looks when tied, and I always appreciate a good pocket!
Honestly, wearing this coat feels like cheating! It’s so fashionable, yet takes no effort to look amazing in.
The grid pattern instantly makes these pants professional and more stylish. The ruffle waist is a great feminine detail, and I love the pockets! Let’s be honest, we all want a place to put our phones.
An alternative to these pants are black leggings for only $7!
Yes, I have a shoe obsession. I describe these shoes in one word, “adorable.”
Shipping took a couple weeks, but it was free. I knew it would take longer since I ordered during Valentine’s Week during a huge sales promotion.
The quality is comparable to H&M, and I am satisfied with it considering the price. I always tell people they can’t expect high-quality with a super low price tag. SHEIN is a great place to buy trendy pieces you plan to wear for a season. I still preach investing in quality classics such as blazers and a LBD.
Fit and sizing is true to size! Also, SHEIN customers are fantastic at providing reviews with pictures. I highly suggest looking at the reviews before ordering.
Keep in mind clothes are manufactured and shipped from China, so clothes tend to be cut smaller. SHEIN uses European sizes, which can be confusing when it comes to shoes.
I am between a 6 and 6.5 in shoes. I got a 6 in heels, for I usually size down in heels. Chinese-manufactured clothes are cut and produced a tad smaller, so size up a half size if you’re unsure.
I love the fit and design of these slip on heels with a pearl detail. It’s a shoe I would never pay a lot for, so if it weren’t for SHEIN, I wouldn’t have them. I consider these shoes to be trendy, not a classic worth investing in.
Price is low and fair. A low price means you may have to sacrifice something like perfect fit, quality, or fast shipping. Overall, I am pleased with my SHEIN outfit, and the price I paid was totally worth it! What do you think?
